Yummy in the Tummy - Crispy Lemon Chicken Nugget


Have you ever had food cravings before bed but concerned about health at the same time? This happens in our home from time to time. My boyfriend confessed that he ordered fast food delivery to ease his craving for deep fried chicken when I wasn't at home. He regretted right after sucking the last crunch piece on the finger because of greasy feeling just didn't go away for a while, same as guilt and fat on the waist!

Actually, it is easy to satisfy your appetite and keep the health in control. This Crispy Lemon Chicken Nugget is my pocket recipe to fill in for this special need. Two magical ingredients make this happen: chicken breast and lemon! It cant be more simple with only 3 steps : marinate chicken breast with lemon zest and lemon juice, coat with flour, pan fry! The lemon can balance the unpleasant oily feeling in the mouth with its freshness and sweetness. Try it next time when you have junk food urges, instead of being guilty, I guarantee you it would be yummy in the tummy!

 

Ingredient:
1 chicken breast, sliced
3 Tsp flour
1/2 lemon zest
Ground black pepper for taste

Marinade seasoning:
1 Tsp lemon juice
1 tsp rice wine or sake
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 lemon zest

Instructions:
1. Combine marinade seasoning with chicken breast well. Marinade for 10-15 mins








2. Pour flour on a plate, slightly coat chicken breast with flour. Pat off extra flour with fingers








3. Heat oil pan, place the chicken breast. Cook until flour form the coat and turn to the other side. Remove from the pan until both sides are golden brown.
 

4. Sprinkle lemon zest and ground pepper. Serve hot!
